We were initially rather shocked by the entrance itself, then surprised by the decor and layout. The boutique-hotel was a new experience, but we ended up liking it very much, and have already recommended it to numerous people, including 3 Santa Fe residents who regularly have guests in town.

The parking situation - having to go inside to get the 'fob' in and go back out again to park was slightly confusing and disconcerting. But the system worked and all was well.

Nothing at all - what a dump!

Horrible. No other way to describe it. Stay away as far as possible! Our original booking was for the Luxx, a downtown location. Upon check in we were informed that had moved us into some casitas approx 15 min from downtown. We were never asked, this was presented to us as a fact. We were then let to the casita location. If we really wanted an out-of-town casita, we would have had many options – not this dump. Internet not working [I had to repair myself], ac not working – never got fixed. My original call was answered 18hrs later by Gordon, who never got the message about the ac not working. I used the hot duct to dry my wet clothes – that’s how ‘effective’ it is. The disconnected wireless adapter was found in the filth under the bed. A clear sign that the rooms are never thoroughly cleaned. In order to get the room cooler, I opened the one and only that can be opened. There is no screen – bugs come in. The other window is duct-taped off to allow for the ventilation of the in-room stand-alone piece of crap ac. The front door cant be closed. What a crap location. I travel to Santa Fe often - this was the worst stay by far. Stay away!

It's location was great, everything we were interested I'm was within a pleasant walking distance. It's surroundings were quite there wasn't heavy vehicular traffic while we were there. The hotel it's self does not offer any kind of breakfast but there are eating establishments within the same building. We would stay at the Luxx Hotel the next time we were in Santa Fe, nm.

The parking was the only issue we had, it's a small parking lot behind the Luxx itself and part almost 6 spaces was roped off because of repainting the building next door so it made the parking even tighter and then there was a concern of the overspray drifting onto your vehicle but other than that you couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable stay.

It's unique and artsy feeling. It also feels cozy.

It doesn't have a hair dryer in the room or ice machine that I know of. The price is not fully disclosed by Booked.net I booked a hotel that was supposed to be around $100, but after taxes and hotel fee, it came out to be around $145

Staff was very welcoming & helpful. The rooms were wonderful & very clean- all my needs were meet.

The staff were friendly and took care of all our needs. I liked the interesting decor and the location - one block from the plaza square.

We stayed in the jungle suite. The walls were painted too dark for my taste considering the limited natural light throughout the suite. However, the room did give you the jungle feel and grew on me. I'm sure there are other choices of rooms.

I liked the location and the artsy atmosphere ,the staff was friendly and it was a relaxed place.

He hot tub could have been better.Comforter was hot should have had a lightweight blanky.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, obviously working hard to ensure you had a pleasant stay. The room was comfortable and well appointed and the location was convinient to everything we wished to see and do during our short stay in Santa Fe. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who planned to stay in the city.

No complaints. It is a new hotel with some kinks that may need working out but there was nothing that interfered with our pleasanr stay.

        The bed.

I didn't like this hotel at all. There is no one to help you, its not a "spa/resort" like it says. There is trash all outside, horrible hotel all together.

What a great find! Luxx is a unique, stylish, and surprisingly affordable gem just a few steps from the heart of downtown Santa Fe. It is the perfect spot for travelers who value a quiet & beautiful environment over standard corporate/tourist amenities like room service & balers. Luxx feels like a high end b&b, and Gordon (the owner/concierge/front desk staff) is a warm & generous host. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in this beautiful city!

Great location, very central in Santa Fe.

Had a cold spell while there and heating did not work! Staff not readily available as no permanently manned front desk so it is hard to find someone for service. Bedding could be improved especially pillows.

        Small exotic hotel

Reservations mixed up but eventually straightened out. Room called a queen suite not actually a suite.

      • Single
        7.0

The Luxx is a great location, a short walk to the plaza. Funky is probably the best description. The staff is friendly but it is not a corporate-type place so there are times when there is no staff available. The bed was comfortable but there were lots of stains on the carpet. Also stains around the sink that seemed like toothpaste from a former guest. It seemed funny that they advertise "kohler fixtures" because the sink is in fact Kohler but the enamel is cracked and it is quite old. The tile around the shower is new and there was an updated shower head. The water wasn't very hot. The heat/cool system seemed to operate in reverse, i.e. I turned the thermostat up and it got cooler and down and it got hotter. The tv system offers netflix and cable but is pretty hard to figure out how to use. There is a coffee shop in the building that has the best coffee in town. The "lounge" and spa were kind of a joke. There is an area by the parking lot with a bunch of mismatched and sometimes broken furniture and an airstream trailer that I guess serves drinks at some time but was padlocked when I was there. The hot tub would accomodate 2 adults but is pretty funky also. It seemed kind of crazy to be charged a "resort fee" because there was nothing resort-like about it. Seems like they ought to just charge a higher fee and not claim there's anything resorty about it. I was generally satisfied because it was cheaper than staying at the high end places in town and is a good location. It was quiet and the staff tried to be accomodating. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea. I think they have free parking, which is a plus but I didn't have a car. If you want service stay somewhere else but the Luxx is better than La Quinta or mid-priced corporate locations. Shop around for a price because prices vary considerably. Some folks came in while I was in the office who paid quite a bit less than I did.

I enjoyed the decor and set up of the room. It was very well designed. Gordon did a very good job of helping us even though we arrived far later than expected. The bed was comfortable and room was very clean.

Had a little trouble finding our room once we were in due to the numbering system used. That's about it.
